Everything about The Kellbank is fantastic. Great location near the beach, lakes and hills. The room was spotless and the beds comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly and the food fresh and delicious. A big appreciation for being a dog friendly hotel. All in all a great stay. We highly recommend it.

For the money it's excellent value! Great location, 10 yards from a brilliant Italian restaurant, The Wild Olive. Very near the big peaks (Sca Fell etc.) . Great tea/coffee selection, superb shower!! Not 5* luxury but great value as I said.

Really comfortable beds and living room so cosy and all clean with all the facilities we needed. Thoughtful to have milk, tea and coffee and some extra things as a welcome and not to need to rush to the shops. Very quiet considering being so close to the road. Nice little garden space too. Local shop and bakery offered good selection of food and in the pubs (each very different) we received a warm welcome. The location is great. We definitely would use as a base again!

Claire was a great host; greeted us upon arrival, showed us to our room and left us to settle in straight away. The room was super clean and the attention to detail really made a difference. Claire cooked an excellent breakfast in the morning to get us ready for scafell. Claire was able to give us suggestions and answer any questions about the local area. Overall, an amazing stay.

Everything was perfect for us not to far from coast, scafell pike 9 mile away. Good size car park, with disability parking bay right next to 2 entrances, the room was a good size on suite bathroom ,comfortable bed, room was spotless, tea and coffee available in room with kettle. The breakfast was amazing with a wide choice to suit everybody. The staff was very helpful and always with a smile on there face. I would definitely go back again if in that area, and the prices was way cheaper than most other places we searched for bed and breakfast.

Great location - back field area to run your dog free. Beautiful garden that's private and gets nice and warm in the sun. 8 minute drive from the seaside with a beautiful natural sand beach. 20 minute drive from the base of Scafell Pike if you're up for hiking the tallest mountain in England. Great entertainment - music and live bands were lovely. Friendly staff - very accommodating and kind - a genuine feeling of wanting to please.
