We have been here once before and were elated to stay here again. It is the most beautiful little cottage, in an idyllic situation. The room was very big, it had tea/coffee facilities etc, tv, wardrobe...everything you would expect really. The bathroom was lovely too. The breakfast was so tasty and plenty to eat. Caroline was an extremely welcoming host. All in all a fabulous stay and highly recommended...hopefully we will be back in the not too distant future. Thank you xx

There's nothing not to like ☺️. Chris and Tony are lovely and great hosts , full of knowledge from gretna in the war to the best places to visit and eat. The guest house was spotlessly clean , comfortable and Chris's breakfast was fabulous. The train station was an added bonus , it made it easy to enjoy an evening in Carlisle with the family. There's private parking , lovely walks and it's close to our Scottish family, so we'll definitely be staying again . Just like being at home ❤️
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Warm welcome, comfy bed and superb breakfast (should have asked for another tattie scone.) Room was quiet too, not disturbed by other guests. Online check in in advance meant there was no messing about on arrival.
The location felt remote and was very beautiful. Although, only a few minutes drive to the M6 making it really accessible too. We stayed in the bungalow which was very spacious (2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, lounge/diner and private garden). We all had an incredible night's sleep because it was so quiet.
Evening meal, bed and breakfast. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was good. This is an old beautiful period house with charming quirks and fascinating history. The bedroom was light and spacious and nicely decorated. There was nice oak furniture everywhere, and the grounds and surrounding scenery were lovely.
Great location on our way to the Isle of Lewis. Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Lovely room with a comfortable bed and good shower. We had a good evening meal and an excellent breakfast. We would be happy to stay here again.
