The Lady Maxwell Room at Buittle Castle, hotel in Dundrennan

Boasting garden views, The Lady Maxwell Room at Buittle Castle features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 23 km from Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club.

Absolutely amazing stay. It felt so magical there, from the view of the tower, to the vintage decor of the room, to the delicious private meal we had in the stunning Great Hall. Tobias was so welcoming and friendly and even gave us a tour inside the castle, which they had renovated so beautifully. A lovely breakfast was served in our room the next day and even their sweet peacock, Perry, came to say hi. Thank you so much for making my birthday so special. We will definitely be back! P.S. Comfiest bed ever!

Woodlyn Guest House, hotel in Dundrennan

Situated in Gatehouse of Fleet, Woodlyn Guest House offers accommodation with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a tennis court and golf courses situated within easy walking distance.

The location of the property is excellent. Walking distance into the main street where the restaurants of Gatehouse are, and yet in a quiet area of the town. The hosts (Nikki and Kev) were absolutely lovely. They were friendly and really helpful with great local knowledge and suggestions. There was extremely yummy cake offered in the afternoon and the breakfasts were excellent - a great range of options and all cooked perfectly! Our bedroom (Maple) was a good size and both the room and en suite bathroom were very clean, with tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities in the room. We would recommend this property for a relaxing and comfortable stay and hope to return in the future 😊

Exactly as pictured. A lovely, spacious bedroom, with ensuite and rural views. Plus a separate living room with a small kitchen area, table & chairs, sofa and TV. It is one of the most relaxing getaways. We go away once per month, and this hands down beats them all. The gardens, woodlands, loch, and facilities are exceptional. Comfy beds, living areas, open fire, games room, and kids cupboard were exactly what we needed. The walk down to the private beach and the EV charger take this place to another level. Needless to say, we will be returning.

The location is stunning. Quiet, secluded area with pleasant walks to the small loch nearby and to the coast. The house itself was very comfortable and had everything we could have asked for, including lots of nice thoughtful little extras. All of us, and particularly the kids and the dog, appreciated the large, safe, wrap around garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Orroland Cutlars Lodge and were sad to leave.
