We were doing the Coast to Coast walk and got here early. Luckily were allowed to check in as we were exhausted! The room was a good size and looked as if it had recently been updated. The beds were comfortable, we were able to adjust the temperature n the room, the shower worked well, and there were many options for food (dinner and breakfast). And although we stayed there on a Friday night, which is always a concern when above a pub, the room was quiet and we slept very well.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
A well kept, clean and beautifully decorated, exceptionally well equipped B&B property in a stunning location. Comfy bed and well furnished room with a private bathroom and separate WC. Host is wonderful, friendly and extremely accommodating. We would highly recommend.
It was an amazing location to stay with spectacular views. So peaceful and quiet and the Pods were spotlessly clean. Hosts were lovely and we would definitely return.
The welcome and hospitality at the Duke of Wellington were excellent. We stayed for three nights and used the restaurant for dinner throughout our stay. The breakfast and dinner menu choices were really good and our meals were all delicious, the steak and ale pie was amazing. Our room was delightful, quiet and very comfortable. Danby is a great location for exploring the moors by foot, bike or car. Good access to Whitby and Scarborough.
The place was fantastic. Great location, great hosts, great room and everything you could need. The bed was one of the softest I have ever stayed on but in a good way.
The Breakfast was lovely ,cereals ,fruit juices ,fresh fruit ,then you chose your main breakfast then asked if we'd like toast & what drink we preferred.Plenty of choice !

Plenty of tea coffee & hot choc in the room,we asked for extra milk & were given more ,nothing was too much trouble.
