The Royal Hotel, hotel in Cookstown

The family-run Royal Hotel is situated in the centre of Cookstown, just 12 miles north of the M1 Motorway, which runs directly into Belfast.

Convenient to find. Car park right beside hotel. The foyer was well decorated for Halloween! The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. We ate in the hotel before leaving for our venue and the meal was lovely and the atmosphere was relaxing. When we came back we had a few drinks at the bar and had a great chat with the staff. The night porter Marie could talk on any subject! Next morning the breakfast was excellent. The whole hotel is immaculate and the bedroom was warm and had everything you could want. We would definitely stay again when we come to the Burnavon for a show.

The room has enough space, the bed was comfortable, sheets very soft, they left a welcome treat, plenty of tea, coffee and milk single portions. The shower has good pressure, the heating is on so the room is warm and cosy. Generous breakfast. Martina and her husband are super kind, most welcoming people, very considerate.

A good location. Food excellent. Staff lovely. Room a bit noisy, I think we were above the kitchen so a door kept banging. It had stopped by the time we needed to sleep though. All in all a great stay.

Very clean & comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. Great hosts. Left us in peace but messaged to let us know they were there if we needed anything. Thoughtful little touches - milk & a few other groceries provided, boxes of tissues, fresh flowers. Great to have use of a dishwasher, washing machine & dryer. Big drive to park car. Lots of information provided about the facilities in the property & where to visit during our stay.

Reception Staff at The Royal Hotel, Cookstown were totally prepared and ready to warmly welcome me and fully briefed me with keys and details.. Room was of good size, bright, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel is very central to the bus station and shopping area of Cookstown but is calm and quiet. (The people skills of the Staff throughout the day /restaurant etc are second to none and go a long way to making the small hotel memorable! Appreciated)
