I stayed for one night with my dog and Christine was an absolutely amazing host .
Nothing is too much trouble for her and that also goes for all the staff
Bed and pillows were wonderful and comfortable . Everywhere was spotlessly clean .
Breakfast was delicious and lots of choice
The grounds were beautiful and myself and Willow loved the space and of course Christine's 2 spaniels .
I will definitely be staying again and already planning a trip there next summer with my son and grandson from Japan .
Best stay and well recommend .

Keith and Pauline were great hosts, very welcoming and friendly. The room and ensuite were clean and spacious and they provided some extra touches which were very much appreciated. I liked the way they had themed the rooms, each one being named after an old stamp and decorated accordingly. (They are The Old Post Office after all!) Their home is beautifully decorated with lots of knick-knacks and art work. There were several choices for breakfast which was delicious. They are situated in a beautiful area with good access to the City of Durham and Beamish Museum.

The location, the large room with furnishings not usually included with accommodations at this price, the excellent breakfast and the extremely kind personnel. Even with Durham Cathedral being closed for matriculation ceremonies, it was a very memorable visit.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Great room with private little terrace, big tv, amazing huge bed, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and milk provided- everything spick and span, modern, great place. Helpful host.
Catherine and her husband are very friendly, welcoming hosts. The property is immaculately clean and tidy. The room we stayed in was spacious and very quiet with comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. We really enjoyed our stay at Deneview and would have no hesitation in recommending this guest house to others.
Hotel and staff were lovely. However not happy with booking.com and the way they advertise. We thought we had booked dinner bed and breakfast only to be informed that the booking was for breakfast only. If we knew this and the advert was clearer we would have booked the cheaper option which includes breakfast!!!! I perceive this as false advertising and would appreciate someone contacting me as it makes me reluctant to book via booking.com in the future. Feel conned as this was for my grandson’s birthday and his first stay in a hotel !!!!!
