Steve and Caz have been wonderful hosts during our stay. We received good recommendations from them even before we arrived as to the amenities and restaurants in the vicinity which was very helpful. In addition to that, they provided us with the maps of the walking tours free of charge. The rooms were immaculate with a very personal touch to each room. The breakfast each morning was exceptional and catered to each and every guests dietary needs and delight. I would highly recommend their accommodation as it is not only within walking distance to everything in the village including the bus stops and walking routes but also because it is a quaint and comfortable experience into the traditional English abode in the country. Great location close to town centre. Views of mountain from back rooms. All we needed was included (we obviously had to go food shopping). Quiet area. Will return soon.
Great location set right in the centre of Coniston . Room perfectly adequate for a couple of nights and cheap for what you get. Food downstairs was really nice, we had read some bad reviews but tbh we couldn't fault it, especially the breakfast which was great. Despite the odd annoying thing I'd stop there again, all part of it's charm, lol.
Beautiful building in a lovely quiet location but close enough to the town of Coniston . The hosts were lovely and we weren’t expecting a few extras like tea and cake on arrival , little touches like fresh milk and sherry in the room. The room was clean with fresh quality linen and very comfortable . There was a great selection of breakfast , cereals , fresh fruit and a fabulous cooked breakfast . Plenty parking . We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family .

Cleanliness was top notch. Excellent breakfast and lovely staff. Location was perfect for us with access to shops etc. outside sitting area also great. Evening meal menu was superb and bar had lots of atmosphere. We had a problem with our bedroom safe but the staff were very helpful and got it sorted.
Great location with a nice walk to the Wilson Arms. Quiet and relaxing. Marvelous flapjack in the room with tea and coffee facilities and sherry in a decanter, this was a super unique special touch.
