The Dog in Over Peover, hotel in Congleton

Dating back to 1860, The Dog in Over Peover is in the heart of the quaint village. This typical village inn offers a restaurant and a pub serving real local and national ales.

We arrived around 1900 to a lovely welcome by staff. A delicious dinner was served from a varied menu. We had 3 rooms between us, all were delightfully appointed, bright and airy. We arose early the following morning and were severed an early pot of tea while we enjoyed looking out over the snow covered field. Breakfast was first class, as was the member of staff waiting on our table - a very decent and accommodating chap, nothing was too much, so a special 'thank you' to him.

Superb location for the venue of the conference we were attending, 200m walk. Ample free parking about the guest house. Quiet surroundings though not far from the main road. Guy and Jan were great hosts. Plenty of nice little thoughtful touches that we appreciated like the fresh milk and the granola bites. Great breakfasts that certainly set us up well for the day. Can't wait to have the excuse to return

Well equipped, very tidy and clean apartment. Sandra was fantastic and so accomodating! Will definitely be back if I'm in the area! Big car park round the corner and only £1.60 for the day. Great location, close to the centre of town but still nice and quiet
