Clean and tidy, central with plenty free parking and dog friendly. Owner Hugh was very friendly, in the hallway is a free drinks machine serving quality coffee and tea ..
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
I am still quite in awe of the experience we had here. Beautiful grounds and farm, modern and spotless spaces and such gracious hospitality! Andrea cooked us a delicious 3-course meal made of local ingredients, and even made us a to-go breakfast (even though we had to leave before sunrise) with possibly the best breakfast egg and bacon roll I’ve ever had. Everything was top-notch and it was such a beautiful time, we felt so lucky to have been able to stay here! Great location near the port if you’re traveling to Islay.
This was an amazing little oasis in western Scotland! Loved everything. All was new, spotlessly clean and the bathroom - WOW!! Like a luxury city hotel! And the lounge had a cosy wood burner and soft lights. Made for a very welcoming little place to kick back.
We stayed here while walking the Kintyre Way in June. We couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. Kat and Andrea were warm and welcoming. Our rooms were quiet, private, and cozy. The dinner and breakfast were simply amazing: the best we have EVER had at a B and B, anywhere. A short drive or walk to Clachan, and right on the Way.
The cottage is comfortable and in a lovely quiet location. The heating was good by either electric radiators or a lovely log/coal burning stove with a back boiler. The kitchen is well equipped.
