Absolutely amazing stay. It felt so magical there, from the view of the tower, to the vintage decor of the room, to the delicious private meal we had in the stunning Great Hall. Tobias was so welcoming and friendly and even gave us a tour inside the castle, which they had renovated so beautifully. A lovely breakfast was served in our room the next day and even their sweet peacock, Perry, came to say hi. Thank you so much for making my birthday so special. We will definitely be back!
P.S. Comfiest bed ever!

Beautiful, spacious chapel conversion in very quiet location. Friendly and accommodating hostess. Excellent breakfast. High quality rooms. In a tiny hamlet so you will need to drive to get dinner. Not a problem as the Steamboat Inn on coast a little over a mile away has very good food and drink,

Great location, extremely comfortable bed in spacious room. Most delicious roast beef dinner at the restaurant - best I’ve ever had!! (Good prices for dinner & drinks too). Lovely view from restaurant. Great breakfast & service. Location was convenient to highway but so quiet (must be double/triple glazed windows?) and close to Dumfries & Caerlaverlock Castle. Would definitely stay again & highly recommend.
A great location by the river. A bonus is being able to sit in the wonderful garden by the river or in a large gazebo. There is also a sitting room for use by guests.
The breakfasts are wonderful, cooked to order and with mixed fresh fruit and yoghurt.
Excellent breakfast which even included Haggis if you wanted it, served in a lovely dinning area with a view over the Loch. Our room also had a view toward the Loch.
We also liked the conservatory which along with an internal lounge area were for the use of the guests, south facing too so nice and toasty.
Great location on the Galloway Tourist Route near Loch Ken which is just stunning.
Beautiful location on the banks of the Dee; welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts; comfortable and quiet bedroom; excellent breakfast; great conversation.
Best location, main street but quiet. Close to buses & local facilities.
Free car park onsite
A couple of cafes a minutes walk away for a good breakfast.
Room up to standard, TV etc.
Good heating
Cheap & cheerful - we only used it to sleep.
Met the maintenance man - great chap. Really helpful. Only part time though, it appears.
Close to town centre but quiet location. Easy parking. Good sized, beautifully decorated room. Pet friendly, nice stroll down to the park and loch. Excellent breakfast. Linda the host was very helpful and accomodating.
