situated only a 10 min. stroll from the city centre so no need to drive. Parking is free at the location. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The food was very good although they do not serve breakfast there are establishments close by. The food in the pub was lovely and not over priced. Although on a busy main road you are not disturbed by the traffic and if by chance you are a light sleeper they provide ear plugs, we did nit use them.

Location lovely (you need a car), friendly and welcoming staff, delicious food, comfortable beds, lovely clean rooms. A couple of hooks on the door in the bathroom would have been helpful, but it is only a minor point. Our labrador, Ella, was also made very welcome! Shame we didn't see the ghost, but maybe next year - we are already planning our next visit!

Private secure parking. Lovely modern decor, very clean and well equipped little house. Our stay was during a very hot spell and grateful for the fan provided.
Beds very comfortable, ample towels and all kitchen/bathroom facilities and equipment working and in good clean condition.
Great location, very very close to city centre, station (West) and the Goods Shed. No noise issues.
Owner very responsive with queries.
This hotel is charming, reminds me of how it used to be staying in a hotel before the invasion of large hotel chains,. Clean , quiet, excellent breakfast, lovely gardens and bar closes at a reasonable time. Felt very relaxed at the end of my stay.
Great location really close to the city centre and (west) rail station, yet tucked away and quiet. As others have said, this place is 'compact' being one of about 8 little flatlets behind properties fronting the road. Look like conversions of former outbuildings. Has everything you need for a short stay, warm and comfortable.
Perfect location very close to city centre and restaurants and shops. Good breakfast included. Bonus is private and safe parking space. There is a large garden where you can sit and relax on good days. One day I bought my dinner in the supermarket opposite of the hotel and ate it in the garden. In September! What a luxury.

-all staff friendly
