Really nice room, everything you need, boutiquey. Next time I’m in Cardiff I will book their restaurant too.
FYI you have to check in before 10pm, there were 2 flights of stairs to upper rooms, it’s a 25 minute walk ( you can go through the pretty Bute Park) to the Castle.

For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
The building was amazing, not far from the castle and town centre; the building's history and the way the owners presented it was outstanding. It was a great experience. Adrian made us feel welcome and added information on all we needed to know, including where to go in the evening. I must also add - beautiful teacups and cutlery at the breakfast added to the feeling of warmth and a touch of luxury. Even the background music was fitting, every detail just right, thank you!

Room was fairly basic, but comfortable, sizeable, and more than adequate for my needs. Great location for centre of town and train station. Quiet.

Y Fan is in a great location and feels secluded despite being a short walk to the town centre. Christine and Adrian are great hosts and go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Lovely public areas where you can relax.
Breakfast was exceptional. The hot food was cooked to order and all produce was of a high quality. Again nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent breakfast with a great choice, the fresh fruit was amazing g as was the smoked salmon. Y Fan was easy to find and a good walk into the town to find a pub. Enjoyed our drink in the very comfortable Lounge room. Great choice of gins, especially the marmalade gin.
Steve is a great host and makes excellent breakfast. The house is a 5 min. walk to town centre and a few min. more to the castle.
By car you are in Brecon Beacons national park in no time, certainly worth a visit.
