The Shoulder of Mutton, hotel in Bradwell

Located in Bradwell, 18 km from Buxton Opera House, The Shoulder of Mutton provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

Lovely village pub. Very friendly staff, very accommodating from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Beautiful Sunday lunch proper homecooked food. Our favourite was the cauliflower cheese. Great value for money. Best sunday lunch we've had in a long time. We stayed in the dormouse room very cosy with everything you would need. An added plus was a little balcony area. The bathroom was small. We did receive an email informing us, but this didn't affect our stay what so ever. We found it a talking point. The breakfast in the morning was lovely cooked to order, which we liked. A lovely selection to choose from. There really isn't anything we didn't like. We will definitely stay here again.

Lovely and friendly hosts. Building is old, listed and quirky but has modern facilities including the important good shower. I didn't use it, but fresh milk was supplied in a small fridge.

Good size room and bathroom. All was spotlessly clean. Really comfortable pillows and bed. Great views. Pub area was comfortable and inviting with a number of real fires on the go. Samantha was an excellent host as were her daughters. Enjoyed the Quiz night. Breakfast was very filling. Our evening meals and desserts all good home cooked food.

Katrina and Tim were amazing hosts. Very kind, friendly and helpful but not intrusive. I was staying with my little terrier Otis and we had the best time. Very cosy room with cosy bad and massive private bathroom. Everything very clean. We came by train and it is only 30 min walk from Hope so great location. We did a lot of hiking and trail running and had the best time.

Good sized room and private bathroom. Very comfortable. Great location; central to many good walking options in the Peak District. Lynne, the manager, and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast options. Only ate in on one evening (food not served Mon & Tues evenings), but there was a good selection. I had a lovely chicken pie and the ginger sponge pudding was to die for!
