Nicky and Simon and their children are a lovely family. They let us share their home and feel at home. The house is rich in history and nestled in a picturesque valley set apart from the hustle and bustle of the usual tourist hotspots from West Bay to the Isle of White, Sherborne to Durdle Door, Corfe Castle and Swanage to Shaftesbury, which are still perfectly convenient to reach by car. We enjoyed the company of their cute dogs and cats and, of course, we also enjoyed our delicious full English Breakfast carefully prepared by Nicky to individual taste every day. Fruit, cereals, baked beans, sausages, tomatoes, bacon, eggs, honey, butter, jam. Thank you Nicky and Simon for the great time we had with you in your home. We hope to return to Higher Melcombe Manor one day.

I escaped from London with my two little daughters making the last minute booking with The Barn Ridouts Farm. What an awesome, quite and friendly place it was. I find it a hidden treasure. The owner Emma and her husband was very caring and I could not find a better place I believe!

I loved the hospitality of John and her partner. The house was very very clean and the room was spotless. They were very caring and they always wanted the best for the guests. They serve gorgeous breakfast and they ask what's the convenient time for breakfast. Which make it very easy for us.
