Convenient location. Small but comfortable room with a good shower room. There was also a kettle, microwave, small fridge and toaster so we were able to make our own breakfast when we wanted it. All on the ground floor and parking just outside. There was a pub two properties down the road.

I received a very warm welcome from Kevin and his wife who were extremely helpful in every regard, including getting me to my family wedding on time! The accommodation was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was cooked just right and the area was picturesque and peaceful. It was just what I wanted...thank you!

Easy to find, not far from a pub (although make sure to have a torch if you're heading back after dark), clean and comfortable. Walk in shower, with perfect pressure and temperature.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
We received a warm welcome from Lisa on arrival. We stayed in a spacious double room with tasteful, coordinated decor. It had plenty of storage space for clothes.The large ensuite bathroom included a bath and shower, which was thoroughly appreciated after a day's travelling. The Old Postie is in a fairly quiet location and our room faced away from the road, so we had a restful night. Although the breakfast is at a small extra cost, it was as good as Lisa promised and set us up for the day. I recommend!
Comfortable, clean and warm. Room was light, well decorated and beautiful bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Hosts very welcoming and excellent breakfast both mornings of my stay. Great for a solo female traveller. Parking on site. I did a walk nearby around Newstead with a view of the abbey. Looking forward to returning!
The room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable. The private bathroom was along the landing, but wasn't a major issue. They are putting in en-suite rooms this year. The full English breakfast was cooked to order and was perfect. Lisa the host is so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely use it again
The Old Posthouse is super clean and comfortable while also feeling homely and friendly. Lisa is a great host and makes a wonderful breakfast!
