The room is very comfortable and clean, including bed and bathroom, we noticed that the owners take care of eveything with excellence. The breakfast is delicious, with many homemade items, we enjoyed a lot the chateau, it was a good stop in a small city in Loire Valley.

For our last night in the Loire Valley, we had dreadful weather but we stayed at the beautiful 15th century Chateau d'Ainay-le-Vieil castle hotel and ate a fabulous dinner at La Volière, the castle restaurant. Our room was located in one of the towers of the castle ramparts and had a magnificent spiral staircase leading up to it. The castle hotel was so cool and we briefly battled the cold and rain to do a little exploring of the grounds. The breakfast basket was adorable and fabulous.

I'm afraid I don't bother to review everywhere we stay on booking.com - only the exceptional. L'Amalgam was exceptional. Beautiful room and fantastic hosts who couldn't have been more friendly and more helpful. Breakfast was divine. Our evening meal a total joy ( I'm not sure if Magali wants to do evening meals any more as she's pretty busy but if she does, you are in for a treat. If not she helps at the restaurant next door in the chateau so it's not a disaster. )
