This was an absolutely lovely place to stay in Tarbes. Don't let the street side location deter you. I had a suite of rooms that were all pleasantly decorated and comfortable. Christine, the hostess was so very pleasant. The breakfast was wonderful. And although the weather was not nice enough to enjoy eating in the garden, the dining room setting was wonderful.

The location was excellent for me, within walking distance of the Parc des Expositions and easy parking outside the house. Sylvie is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good, with bread, croissant, home made cake and jam and she specially bought decaffinated coffee for me. The room is quite large with an attic window at each end and views of the garden and the mountains in the distance. With a beautiful modern bathroom and separate toilet, it comprises the whole upstairs of the house, so it is very private.

Best hotel ever booked on booking. Friendly and welcoming staff, nice porch and very good breakfast. Organic supermarket in 5 min walking distance.

We had an amazing stay in Chateaux d'Orleix. I was travelling with my 93 year old mom and they went out of their way to help and make us comfortable. They even changed her room to a downstairs one to avoid the stairs for her. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast amazing and very fresh, the croissants are yummy. The facilities, both in the room and outside are great. Nice pool with enough chairs and parasols, barbecue area, games like darts and jeu de boules. Everything very clean and well-maintained. Location is a bit remote in a small village, so car is recommended to visit all the beauty in the surroundings like The Pyrenees, Lourdes, Tarbes and so on. We were very lucky to see all the 14 Juillet celebrations and to visit the concert of Andrea Bocelli in Lourdes. We had an amazing time and cherish the memories. Thank you all staff at Chateau d'Orleix for making our stay unforgettable.

Lovely hotel with great accessible bedrooms, very handy when travelling with a mobility constrained parent. The family (and it's very much a family operation) served us an excellent 3 course meal after we arrived, and a great breakfast, coping valiantly with a request for boild eggs, in the morning. Very friendly - we would love to come back.
