For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Very nice place, everything was new when we stayed there, nicely decorated and very friendly owners. It has a huge backyard, private parking and all facilities you might need (full kitchen, diswasher, washing machine, blinds everywhere). It is at a great location (10min walk to the town centre) and close to attractions like Asterix Parc and Chateau Chantilly. Overall a really great place to stay!
Le Castel Ecossais was a wonderful b&b to spend the last night of my trip. Only a 30 minute drive to CDG airport. An elegant and historic building in the old town, it was perfect in every way. The hosts were charming and helpful, and shared with me more of the building’s history. I loved my room with its four poster bed and dressing room that helped with packing. It was quiet and comfortable, with a lovely garden view, an excellent breakfast and parking in the courtyard.
Great little gem not too far from Paris. Beautiful place with sprawling gardens, private parking, super nice rooms and a wonderful host. Breakfast was simple but local ingredients that tasted amazing. Located in a very quaint, small city with good restaurants in walking distance.
The location is very good within Senlis, close to shops, bars and restaurants. It’s very quiet, even if within the city center. The view from the room and balcony is very nice. My room was very big and spacious. The owners are very kind. Breakfast is simple and every day the same but ok and of good quality.
Quiet location within easy walking distance of city centre and with parking. Nice and bright living/dining room and front door opens onto a small private garden by a stream. Would have used it more if it was warmer and sunnier during our stay. Corridor to the bedrooms has low headroom and you are liable to hit your head -- I did, twice. Bathroom a little squeezed and small. Overall we had a good stay and would use it again. Don't miss the quirky patchwork Senlis Cathedral!
Senlis is a jewel of a town and the Castel Ecossais is a magic place hidden away bang in the centre. Our room on the top floor was huge and atmospheric, with and equally huge bathroom and wonderful views over gardens and a gothic building next door. Our host kindly backed our car through the porch into the private parking area and our hostess was charming.
Excellent breakfast with delicious apricot jam. Secure parking in a private yard in the heart of the beautiful old town of Senlis - just make sure you are good at reversing ! Every street looked like a film set and just 15 minutes from Chantilly.
