We were travelling down from Bonn Germany to the south of France, so we choice the hotel as a good middle stop over. We didnt expect to much, but once we arrived it was beyond amazing. The staff is very friendly, the room was awesome. Almost like an entire appartment where I could live in easily. We were delayed in Lyon, so they arranged for the restaurant about 7km away to take a late booking. If we had known, we would have stayed longer. Breakfast was made with local products. And to top it off, there was a playmate for our dog.

What a gem. This castle is magical. The rooms are gorgeous and huge. We stayed in the tower, which was such a magical experience. The owners cooked a 4 course, 5-star dinner for us and served us a delicious breakfast with fresh baked bread, croissants, fresh squeezed orange juice and the best coffee. The owners were so nice and accommodating. This is one of the best stays we have had in a long time.

Had a kitchen but breakfast was also offered.Lovely hosts. Owner has done an amazing renovation.Modern touches such as plumbing and lighting but decor suited to the age of the building . Had the weather cooperated,we could have used the pool and outdoor balcony . We did use the kitchen .

Lovely house, very rural. Good storage for our tandem bike. Beautiful house, and our room was small, simple, with a lovely large modern bathroom. They offered dinner which was delicious. Request for one vegetarian meal was no problem. Breakfast was also very goodCouple were very kind.

Our group (5 friends and family, all on a cycling tour) *loved* Maison Saint James. The hostess was super friendly and accommodating, the property was wonderful, and the location was truly great. We prefer to stay away from "tourist districts", and while I don't think Montelimar has a real tourist district at this time of the year -- late September -- we enjoyed being in a real neighborhood yet still with easy access to shopping, dining, and so on.
Rooms were large, quiet, and private. The breakfast was varied and delicious, including not only very fresh (still warm) bread from a quality bakery, but also homemade items from the hostess' kitchen.
As I said, we loved the comfortable familiarity of the Maison. When we return to Montelimar (and we will!), we hope to be able to stay here again.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Very cosy ancient farm house in a fantastic place by the river and old bridge, with hospitable host and excellent breakfast. Stayed for 1 night on the way to Spain and kids have enough time even to swim in the pool and play in the playroom.
