It was a very special place to stay. Genevieve was an exceptional host and has done an incredible job with every detail of the house. She made sure we had everything we needed and was always kind about checking in with us. Her breakfast was a highlight, with freshly baked croissants that could be smelled throughout. The location is great, with some great nearby restaurants and a brasserie. We felt very lucky to pick this location while we visited the area for a wedding and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We will miss Genevieve!

I never give a 10 review as that would indicate perfection and perfection is not possible.This was 1 of 2 best B&B we have ever experienced. For the last 25 years we have traveled 2 to 3 months every year. We are very experienced. We would definitely stay again. Great host, great facilities, very good dogs. Everything was clean and comfortable, inside and outside.

Lovely property, beautiful, comfy room & lovely big bathroom. Really good stay in a traditional French Stone house which has all the character you could want. Really nice ornaments & art everywhere. Breakfast was lovely. The property owner ensures that you have everything you need & recommended & booked local restaurants for us. The room was really comfortable, peaceful & quiet. The apartment was tastefully modernised. We particularly liked the Italian shower. The location suited us well, it was very quiet and right in the centre of the town with some free parking. The fridge, kettle and microwave were much appreciated.
The breakfast was excellent with so much choice. The coffee machine was exciting and amazing. Timing to arrive at breakfast is important as our host prepares freshly boiled eggs which she doesn't wish to serve cold - best be on time! Location, access and parking are just fine and the views are stupendous.
Our lady host was charming and attentive - we couldn't have wished for better.

Having worked all my life with 5-star hotels and luxury brands, to say that this property was exceptional is an understatement! We so enjoyed our visit to Penne D’Agenais and we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful owner. The room we stayed in was so elegant; contemporary French styling but with beautiful touches of the owner’s personality too. We also enjoyed the fantastic breakfast(home-made and elegantly presented).Everything was truly 5-star and we loved, loved, loved it!
