We were amazed by the originality, uniqueness and beauty of Château de Longeville. It was complimented by the warmth and charm of the hosts, Eve and her husband. The room was beautiful, almost frozen in time, but with the comfort of a beautiful ensuite bathroom. Dinner and breakfast are served around a communal table, in a lovely dining room and along with the other guests, we felt we were more at a family gathering than with strangers, in a corporate hotel, dining room.
Booking.com seems to, happily, produce these remote gems, luckily for us, and hopefully they'll stay on the books for more discerning people to experience.

Chambers d’Hotes Maison Balady is an absolute delight and Marjolaine and Marco are the perfect hosts. Their home is an oasis of calm set in a beautiful area The room was very well appointed as was the whole house and the terrace the perfect place to take in the views and the sunshine. A very clean hotel in a great location if you just want a stopover. You can walk into town where there are bars, restaurant, garage and shops but if you just want a bed and some food then you get that at the hotel. Menu is not extensive but the food is good. Staff are extremely efficient and helpful back on the motorway in 2 minutes in the morning. It's also in a very quiet location.
