So serene and peaceful, La Ferme de Marie-Eugenie was a perfect country inn. We were traveling from Paris to the South of France, and this was a great place to spend a night. I wish I had been able to book a few more days, it was that good. The 17th century farm has been transformed into a comfortable inn. The host met us and showed us our room, a recently renovated room with rustic beams. Comfortable bed with fresh linens. Beautiful shower and bathroom. Before dinner we were treated to some wine and hors d' oeuvres. For dinner, Marie-Eugenie fixed Lyons sausages and potatoes -- private delicious, country meal. They have wines by the bottle. What I found interesting was that if you only drink 1/2 a bottle, they only charge for 1/2. Now that is a deal. Breakfast was a work of art. Fresh fruit, cereals, breads, juice, freshly brewed coffee. Exceptional. Payment is cash only.

The property is a rustic farm/barn conversion which has been very well carried out. It is in a quiet country setting and seems to be an all family run enterprise with at least three generations. English was not really spoken but we got by and Google Translate was our friend. The evening meal was a set menu, details of which they sent to us in advance and was very tasty. There were a great variety of nationalities staying there. Couple like us, families and some bikers - all very friendly. It might be a good idea to have one large table for meals where the guests can mix and talk to each other. As an ex biker I would have loved to engage with the others more, and meal times are always a good way to meet.

Breakfast was good and fresh, classic bread and cheese, all local products. Staff is wonderful and welcoming, we ate with another couple from Geneva, as well. Very nice time. We arrived very late, by bicycle, so the proprietor was nice enough to take me to town to get a pizza for the family. He even waited with me for 20 minutes while they made it. Super super friendly!

Small cozy Hotel-Restaurant, convenient pit-stop on the way back from the South, 12 minutes from highway. Excellent restaurant,we had the Menu Bressane with the Bresse chicken, of course. Smaller portion than what we are used to in the region, but good quality. Quiet rooms and comfortable beds with plenty of pillows. Air-conditioning worked well.Breakfast consisted of fresh croissants and baguettes with home- made confiture, some ham and cheese.
Quiet, very clean, spacious, stylish, comfortable studio in a lovely setting. Nice bathroom with good shower. And the toilet was inside the bathroom (many places that we stayed in France had toilet in a different room).

Airconditioner was perfect on a hot day, style of the apartment was great, location close by city center, restaurants and most importantly the boulangerie. Was very, clean. Would recommend if in the area. Pictures very accurate representation of property.
