Manu, the owner and host, is just an interesting and wonderful person. He is gracious, funny, a great story teller, and helped us find a great restaurant. The house is an antique store, hence the fact Manu was once a dealer.

Breakfast was amazing. Croissants and bread were fresh and delicious. Hot chocolate was served as hot carafe of milk with hot container of melted chocolate which we combined. Delicious. Also ample fresh fruit and yogurt. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Location is quiet and serene, and only 5 min from the wedding which we attended.

Exceptional location on a hillside overlooking vineyards. Wonderful staff. I arrived much later than I thought I would, could not plan on dinner ahead of time, but she offered me dinner anyway.
We had a great chat while they served me some local wine and a lovely plate of fish and chips.
Room was great. Bed was comfy. The night was both dark and quiet. It was a great place to reset my Jetlag and get on with my journey!

Nothing. It may have been clean and there was a kettle and tea bags but that doesn't make up for lack of proper lighting (Christmas tree lights don't count): and a rickety building with exposed areas to downstairs ( storage? Defunct shop? Who knows?). If a photo of the building and entrance had been on the booking site I would NEVER have booked and wasted my money and time. Little pretty touches never make up for simple room with proper lighting in what feels like a secure building.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
We absolutely loved our night of pure relaxation here. Really great hosts (and very cute host dogs!). We had a really lovely tour and wine tasting. Beautiful property with stunning decorations and spotlessly clean.
Fabulous place! An original French stone „chateau” located in the Bergerac wine region. Authentic, beautifully renovated furniture in bedrooms and in the living room; modern bathrooms. Everything to the highest standard and impeccably clean. The hosts very kind and helpful. Breakfast served in a large garden overlooking vineyards. And last but not least: wine from the hosts’ own vinyards. We recommend Chateau Masburel to anyone who loves outstanding places, peace, quiet and wine.
Great location, beautiful building, plus our host allowed us to bring a small dinner and eat it in the dining room, as all local restaurants were shut.
We were attending a wedding in a rural location and the Chateau was ideally placed for that and the local town, plus nearby attractions in the Dordogne area.
The facilities were excellent and our hosts charming at all times, very peaceful.
Absolutely stunning chateau in a picture perfect setting.
Chris was a great host and took care of everything for our short stay including making a reservation at a lovely restaurant nearby and then treating us to a tour of the fantastic wine making facilities. We really enjoyed tasting some of the beautiful wines produced on site and chatting with Chris until late in the evening.
