A very warm welcome and very attentionate host, who also did her best to help me with finding a bike repair in the region. I felt very welcome despite some initial issues with the booking. The house is beautiful and the breakfast was lovely and fresh.

Location very good. Shop and boulangerie on doorstep. 15 minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach.
Also on way L’amerre bar and grill. Very friendly staff and great food.
24 hour pizza shed near the beach if you want a takeaway.

I was on a bicycle so Gwenola made room undercover for it to be stored.

Modern room with large comfortable memory foam mattress. Walk in shower in adjacent spacious shower room. I kept my bicycle in the family garage overnight. A short walk to the village with a Boulangerie and the Angelus, a daytime bar (unfortunately closed for their annual holiday when I was there). Statue in centre of Millet, born nearby. Museum of his birthplace about two kilometres walk or drive. Five kilometres to nearest supermarket or restaurant. Local bus stop in village.

It is a quiet town and the hotel was quiet but absolutely beautiful. The bedding and toiletries were exceptional quality and the place was spotless. Julian runs the place alone and didn't have time to cook but arranged for an excellent 3 course dinner for us to be delivered.
The hotel is in a stunning location. A short walk to the coast where we watched the sun go down over Alderney. The owners were charming and attentive. We had a superb dinner and wished we were staying for longer.
The passion of the hosts for the region and hospitality is obvious. The rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast is fantastic. My only regret is that I didn't take a bite of this charming little lemon cake that I had seen in a Cherbourg bakery a few days before :)
