Hostal San Juan is a great place if you are visiting Alicante
Its not a "hostal" as we think of it, its really lovely place with a bed/breakfast/dinner type feel.
What more do you want, the amazing beach is 20 meters from the hotel accross the road.
For those who havent been to this part of Spain, Ill explain what I love about this area. Its peaceful, it has 7kms of unspoilt beach to sit down and relax, its perfect for family holidays or couples. Its so nice, honestly, just do a day trip there an youll understand if not sure.
The hostal put me in a lovely unit room, with lovely shower and bed - it seemed it was brand new or recently built. The room was so comfortable and I loved staying in this room. Aircon etc everything. Would you believe at the start of October the temperature was 30C - so its great for those wanting a small holiday after the start of school term as well when its cheaper and less busy.
So the location as I said is by the beach. Its great for doing short trips to Alicante Town Centre, El Campello is walking distance away and I went one day to Benidormi even via the Tram right outside the hotel... Benidorm is a mixed bag haha, but worth a day trip to look around. I was glad I chose to stay in San Juan lets say that!
Finally - This Hostal is so well run, the staff were so kind and nice to me you have no idea. I want to thank them for how they treated me when I stayed for 5 nights at the start of October. I would come back in a heart beat and probably will find a way to come back soon enough!

The hostal is spotlessly clean,the staff are so helpful. The rooms were clean and serviced daily.The two adjoining restaurants are absolutely fantastic. The tram is only 2 mins walk and you can either go to the fantastic beach in under 5 mins or into alicante which takes about 2 mins. Cost of tram is around £1.50.Would highly recommend ! We will definitely be returning.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The property was lovely, very clean and the location was perfect, the beach was so close and the location is quiet and perfect for families, the only thing that would have been better is to have Wifi, but there are local phone stores where you can buy a plan to have data which is actually cheaper than using your own roaming.
Friendly and helpful host, great location, central in relation to boutiques, beach front and grocery stores (several in area). Children playground in vicinity. Apartment with central AC, clean and nice, comfortable bad, laundry and washing machines, small kitchen but all one need to kook.

I'm traveling a lot, but this was absolutely the best accomodation I've ever stayed at! Designs like in 5 star luxury hotels, beautiful complex with palm trees and nice garden, infinity pool, amazing views from private terrace and balcony, fully equippet kitchen - with Cofee machine :) super clean bathrooms, luxury materials. Better than all hotel offers in Alicante. Super helpful host. Thank you, hope see you soon again.

Great location, right next to the beach and long promenade. Apartment was spacious and surroundings (building, garden) were nice enough. Good connection to the city center by train. The apartment also has deckchairs that you could take to the beach. Host was very nice and cheerful person. It is good to have car to move around (for groceries etc.) but it is not necessary. Great price. Overall it was very calmful and nice stay in February.
Very well equipped, luxury apartment with side sea view. Sunny balcony in afternoon. Situated right on the prom with frequent cheap tram service to Alicante or opposite direction a few yards away. Washing machine and tumble dryer a real bonus. We stayed for 3 weeks over Christmas and New Year. Pleasant weather, sunny every day. Heating in flat used in the evenings.. Very comfortable large beds,. Lovely quiet location but with several restaurants within walking distance.
