The very best part of our stay was by far the owner/ Host he was so welcoming so nice and so incredibly sweet. I put a special request due to my reason for the stay being my 30th birthday and not only did he grant my request but he went above and beyond. PLEASE do not hesitate to book this hotel and do yourself a favor and get the breakfast the lady who makes the breakfast is also a sweetheart who makes the best breakfast spread I have ever had in my life. The bed is extremely comfortable and the AC works great. The location is superb and does not feel touristy at all, this hotel makes you feel like you are at home or heaven in Samana.

Amazing views. It was fun to stay on a castle, they even have a cave you can check out. Our room was huge. There's nice walking paths around the area.
Jaime will take very good care of you, he's very helpful and friendly. He's a great cook and will prepare a very tasty breakfast. I'd recommend to stay for dinner too, it was a great experience.

We're a bit torn about this place. On the one hand, it offers a great back-to-basics experience, which is why we booked it. The location is beautiful and well-maintained. On the other hand, there are some downsides: no hot water, cold showers with low water pressure, and smelly cabins. These issues wouldn't be such a big deal if the rental cost were lower. However, the place comes with a rather high price tag, which doesn't seem fair given these problems.
