Family run with hotel with a personal touch. We had lovely room. Breakfast was nice. Parking is provided nearby but we ended up parking the car at the free parking next to the river. The village is authentic, with no tourist shops, only wineries. Good value for money food and wine. We visited some other more busy villages upstream and downstream but were happy to return to quiet Ürzig in the late afternoon.

Room was clean overall, some of the rugs looked a bit worn or ready for a wash. The owner couple and cleaner were very friendly, but the registration was a bit outdated (although kind of nostalgic, like when I was a boy with my parents in Austria in the 90s – kind of tedious, but also kind of charming). Quiet apartment with fully equipped kitchen. We parked in the courtyard of the house. The host had left us the key in a safebox and had sent us instructions. Perfect place for holydays and day trips around Germany.

Excellent breakfast very Germanic ,more or less the same everywhere , rolls butter , breads , meat ,cheese ,boiled egg, etc but our host went to the trouble of setting our table nicely and also setting up a breakfast buffet with cereals, extra breads ,jams , and yokhurts etc . In a nut shell AS GOOD AS IT GETS !!! Thank you to our hosts .
