The hotel is located in a quiet residential area and the hotel itself is quiet. We stayed 2 nights. Parking was available very close to the property. The owner has a massage therapy business there and the ambience throughout the guesthouse reflects it. Our room was a bit small for 2 people, but it was very clean and comfortable. There was a loft in the room that we did not use. The bathroom for our room was located outside of the room but was for our use only. The breakfast area was lovely. It was bright and cheery with large windows overlooking a yard where guests can also go. An affectionate pet cat wandered around, adding to the homey feeling The breakfast selection was wonderful, there were many breakfast items as well as cheeses, meats and some vegetable selections. Soft boiled eggs were served upon request.

The self-check-in was great, very easy and comfortable. The room it self was very very clean and well equipped which was great, and we appreciated the fact that there was a coffee machine with extra coffee filters and little chocolates.

Great location: central on the nothernmost coast of the lake - connected by an extensive network of public transport, fares for which are included in the hotel stay. Also very close to the ferry terminal.

Klaus & Kristina made us welcome from the very start, their beautiful 300 year old property is most certainly a hidden gem, with fantastic chocolate box buildings and fresh fruit being grown in the surrounding fields, makes this location one of the best I’ve stayed in. The breakfast had everything anyone could wish for and we will most certainly be visiting Landhotel Elfenhof again.
A first class hotel. Extremely comfortable in a quiet location on the edge of the Bodensee. Room was luxurious, couldn't think of anything that would have made it better. Food outstanding, both for evening meal and breakfast. One had to keep reminding oneself that an English chain hotel would have been more expensive. Although not cheap it was excellent value for money.
Irina was a great hostess - we arrived on a Sunday and she left us ingredients for a really good breakfast in the fridge. The apartment is excellently located, and had everything we needed for a great stay. Although there is building works going on just outside, we really didn't hear any noise at all, and it didn't affect us.
I was in the annex, which is detached/away from the main building (and thus restaurant). But thanks to this, my room was extremely quiet, which was great. Fresh fruits in the room was also a plus. The sauna was very nice and had everything one can expect.
