Although it has been completely renovated to a very high standard, this is essentially an old-fashioned, family run bed and breakfast in the German style. There are four double rooms and a family suite, all with private bathrooms. Before I arrived the hostess responded swiftly to my questions and requests, and once I arrived she couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. She serves a generous breakfast with eggs and an assortment of bread, sausage and cheese to each guest individually.
The location at the edge of the artist village Worpswede is ideal for motorists (parking) and cyclists. I was on foot, and glad to find that it's just a few steps from the stop for the no. 670 bus from Bremen main station. I chose it because it was within walking distance of a friend's house; the walk to Worpswede (museums, galleries, restaurants and cafes) is about 25 minutes.
When I visited there were building works going on nearby, but I wasn't troubled by the noise; the windows are very well sound- and weatherproofed.

The host waited for me until nearly midnight.she couldn’t speak Deutsch fluently even English but she tried to communicate and it was respectful. The place was completely clean and quiet. Near the city center and a perfect Black and White coffee shop.

Good location close to the main square, but quiet. Parking garage close to the hotel (not private and a bit expensive). Very comfortable room. The breakfast (not included) was amazing. There is a very nice café situated on the ground floor connected to the hotel reception. The breakfast is not a buffet, you choose what you want from an extensive menu. Not cheap but worth the money.
Great location, in de city center! Also 1 min walk from the Main Station. Staff was really friendly and spoke German and English very well. Room was clean and basic, just like I expected from an Ibis Budget hotel. Breakfast was great! Buffet breakfast with all I could ask for; various types of bread, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, great coffee (!) en juices. Also the WiFi connection was excellent; we watched a movie on Netflix without any interruptions.
Comfortable room in classical ambiance, central location close to city centre, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, private parking behind the hotel.
