Remember about snow chains in winter. That was what we forgot, but the guy from Modrokamenná bouda came down with his 4x4 and took us up. The road up is located within a protected area and chemicals cannot be used for the maintenance.

Everything was beyond perfect. The kids loved all the extra activities available, there was plenty space for everyone. Everything was clean, stocked and well kept. Wonderful and well equipped appartements, very helpful and friendly staff, good starting poit for hikes and tours, absolutely quiet, really good meals and wine are served in the restaurant, good and rich breakfast buffet, we can recommend this house for families with kids, because it is located only 500 m from one of the greatest attractions of the Czech Republic - the Treetop Path. A fantastic place for hiking in the Karkonosze Mountains. We spent 7 wonderful days.
A great location near to restaurants, a short walk down the hill to the town, or the swimming pool/spa, and only 15 minutes walk to cable cars up to Cerna Hora. It was pristinely clean and had a well equipped kitchen on every floor. The breakfasts were delicious and the owner very helpful and nice. Also, nice small pool in the summer for cooling off after walks up mountains. A lovely stay.
I booked and paid for a luxury room with two rooms for 3 people. When confirming the room, room 009 was confirmed. On the day we arrived, 27.07, we received a completely different one-room room for 2 people, 003. I demand compensation for moral damages and a refund, because I did not receive what I paid for.
