Our stay at Cap Azul was amazing! The location is absolutely incredible, with unbeatable sea views and the sound of waves as you sleep—pure relaxation. The photos don’t do it justice; it’s even more beautiful in person.

Location is flawless - on a quiet street, but just off the main road. Aluguars stop virtually opposite the property and are very frequent, both going up the Paul Valley and along the coastal road. There is a little mini market just around the corner, open until 20:00. The owner is super - helpful and able to advise on all the best walks in the area. He suggested a much better walk than the one we initially wanted to do; he had maps and suggested places to eat.
The room was very comfortable, clean, and the balcony was a nice bonus. The kitchen area is really nice, half al-fresco. All the staff were lovely and kind and very helpful. The internet works fine - there are 2 networks to choose from. I was also very grateful to have access to a guest fridge in the kitchen area. We regretted cancelling one of the 2 nights we'd initially wanted to stay and only staying 1.
For bonus points, there is also a little 8-week-old puppy :)

The location in the mountains is superb.as are the friendly staff..Great meals provided, but you need to be clear what you ask for and perhaps ask the cook to limit the salt! The place employs local women which is admirable.

This place is so magical.. the rooftop is really the most amazing view of the valley at sunset. Value for money hands down this is the spot to be if you’re hiking a few days in Paul. They have a bar upstairs with food and drinks, super fun and friendly staff. Food is really good, vegetarian but hearty.

Quiet location, 10minute walk into the centre of Port Novo. Fantastic island for hiking. Very friendly people. The owner Marie is a lovely person, nothing was too much trouble and she even helped me sort out my visa which was about to expire.
Nice property off the road and a bit out of nowhere, but if you like quiet this is a great location then. No street dogs barking at night so you can have a very good sleep.
Good breakfast and meals.
Kind staff especially the French owner who gave us a lot of advices and helped to rent a car in a very short notice. He is building houses around for sale btw.
Beautiful black sand beach with a fantastic view of São Vicente island across the sea.
