My kids loved this beachfront glamping experience. Breakfast was great. Their favorite part was chasing crabs on the beach and collecting sand dollars. The pool was also a big hit with my kids.

Very comfortable and big bed, great shower, delicious breakfast, very clean and exceptionally welcoming hosts. They have a lot of info on activities in the area and the local flora and fauna. But most of all they make you feel at home and safe. I would definitely come again to spend some relaxing days at Raya in Matapalo!
The location is just perfect, everything in walking distance 7‘ to the beach, 5‘ to famous and awesome Matapalo Supper Club Restaurant, another restaurant and the supermarket. 20‘ to the bus stop. And on the other side of the road: Angelo who takes you on trips with his lovely horses.

Very secluded, quiet and safe location. There are only 5 villas on the property, so no crowds. The pool was nice and refreshing after a long day exploring places. The owners were very nice and gave a lot of suggestions about places to visit in the area. They were very attentive to the customers.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Right on the beach but easy living so your tents not full of sand. Quiet, safe parking, little shop and 2 restaurants nearby, great breakfast, very friendly, helpful staff. Sloths and monkeys right outside our door. I walked a mile & a half down the beach and saw nobody.
Great uncrowded beach location, I don’t understand people saying it was far from the beach - it’s a 3 min walk.
Nice big room with good cooking facilities. Amazingly helpful lady helped us with everything, even my washing. They really wanted to please. Lovely quiet time in the pool, bird, Iguana and frog watching, when other guests weren’t around. Amazing value.
Camila and Philipp are a nice surfer couple and great hosts! Clean and nice rooms with cute hanging chairs in front of your room to read and chill. Nice breakfast too. Walking distance to a wonderful beach.
Philipp even helped me spot a few sloths on the beach!
Perfect location so close to a lovely quiet beach.
Beautiful gardens/ pool area.
Spacious room, very clean.
Very friendly helpful owner, David who gave us great recommendations for restaurants, excursions and even found a sloth on the beach for us.
Really beautiful accommodation, very comfortable large bed, huge bedroom and bathroom, new quiet A/C, very clean room, nice swimming pool, tranquil setting. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious! This really is a little gem of an accommodation where every detail has been thought about! Nice location near a quiet beach. Would definitely stay again!
Great location and set-up close to the beach. We stayed here with a couple and parents and had an amazing time exploring the area and relaxing at the house, pool and beach. Would highly recommend!
Beautiful garden and nice pool area. The hotel where we saw the most animals throughout our holiday in Costa Rica. Perfect location, if you are searching for a relaxed private atmosphere and also good starting point for trips to Manuel Antonio, Dominical or Uvita.
it was our best stay through out our trip in Costa Rica - the room is big, well equipped and quiet, the garden looks like a cozy jungle, the owner serves delicious breakfast with multiple options and there were actual slots living in the nearby trees. the matapao beach is one of the best beaches of costa rica, almost intact - only 5 min from the house
David and his wife were great hosts for our stay with them. They were both on hand to help with any questions and anything we needed. the hotel is beautiful with large rooms with ac a rarity in Costa Rica, we loved the garden and was like a little garden of Eden where we had breakfast every day. Matapolo is a quiet seaside village away from the hustle and bustle with a beautiful beach which you feel like you have to yourself. We would definitely stay again.
