It is close enough to the airport , but also far enough away to be in a quiet natural setting. It has beautiful gardens with walking paths , interesting birds, and excellent breakfast. I highly recommend

The grounds are beautiful and well tended. Birds sing in the morning, and hummingbirds flit around the flowering shrubs.
Breakfast was amazing: fresh tropical fruit, juice, and poached eggs in a flavorful red sauce with homemade corn tortillas.
Resident cat became very friendly at breakfast.
All of this makes up for the negatives.

The roomy and well maintain private casitas/cabins with lots of windows and a large outdoor stone patio. The cabins are spread out throughout the beautiful and quiet property but are connected via many winding stone paths through gardens full of tropical trees, plants and flowers. The owners Bernie and Nhi along their staff were very welcoming and eager to assist their guests.

Doña Yadira, the owner of the property is lovely. She waited up for me as I didn't arrive until 1 in the morning. She is very welcoming and giving. I enjoyed talking with her. I will definitely stay there again.

The location is absolutely beautiful, the canyon behind the property is spectacular. We enjoyed the pool during the day and the hot tub at night, it was heated and the perfect temperature. The staff was so kind and helpful, they offered free tea and coffee, use of the kitchen, bug spray and sunscreen and were always friendly. The breakfast in the morning was homemade and generous. My son didn't like the tamale and the cook offered to make him a pancake, they were so kind. The other guests staying were very friendly and it was nice to share a conversation. My son and I enjoyed a movie in the lounge and got food and ice cream delivered to the hotel.

La Terraza is an Amazing Guest House. Once you come through the gate you are in a tranquil paradise. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is excellent. This is more than a bed and breakfast, this is my home away from home........this is family. It is a must stay when you come to the area. Super close to the airport! 5 min Uber ride. The host ,Laura is great and has a very clean place. Wonderful free breakfast …. Tell her when you want to eat and she makes it. Quiet street. I will return , for sure. Only accepts cash… colones or dollars .

This place is safely tucked in a gated and well secured area so we felt very safe. Beautiful grounds and great early morning birdwatching. The rooms were like mini apartments with a separated kitchen area. The breakfast was simple, yet delicious: fresh fruit, bread, coffee, and the hot chocolate for the kids was so good! The owners, Jorje and Paola were so helpful and friendly. When one of our suitcases would not fit in our rental car, he let us borrow a bag and held onto our luggage until our return stay the following week. Great place, highly recommend!
