It is a room in a house, in a short walking distance to everything you may need, with windows open to a nice garden - you will be woken up by birds in the morning. The owner is wonderfully helpful and friendly, you will enjoy his company and advice (and the company of his cat and dog). The place is clean and very convenient. You will share the bathroom. On the doorstep to all the nature and wildlife you dream of.Kerley and family were wonderful hosts and are passionate about what they do.Very good value, bedrooms were clean with a simple ensuite bathroom but you had everything you needed.The kitchen was very impressive so it was very easy to prepare your own food.if you wanted to..Loved the verandah .We went on bird trips with Kerley, and he looked after us really well.Got some amazing birds and animals and learned plenty from him

The host was very nice and he could speak english. The cabin is nice with some small problems (see below). We really like the small kitchen where you can cook or make a coffee.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Suzanna and Channy are great hosts; we did a day tour with Channy to Matalpalo and saw monkeys, sloth, macaws, pelicans - & more plus swam in waterfalls and at a beautiful beach. Just four of us plus guide and so good. Night tour also special. Very relaxed at property; big open air dining / sitting area and use of kitchen. Room very basic but clean and adequate ; cold water only ; fan on wall & mosquito net provided though not needed. Free good wifi.
The owners husband is the guide. And he is so amazing. You must take one of their guided tours. Book the big house with the pool, worth the exstra money for private garden and more space
Suzanne is a great host. Really pleasant and helpful especially when our taxi didn’t turn up she helped us out . The property certainly has character and the the pool is fantastic after a hot days hiking
I usually never bother to write reviews here, but man, this place... I just needed to give love back! If you get the chance to stay here, DO! This place is INCREDIBLE! I'm so grateful that it is being offered at such a low price instead of making a luxury resort out of it, which they could well do. While walking around on their INSANE trails (sometimes naked, what a cool experience :D), I even met an ant-eater! This hostel was the highlight of my whole trip in Costa Rica and I will be recommending it to anyone who plans to go. Thank you!!
A beautiful, private and airy wood cabana with tile floors, perched on a hill with a spectacular view out over the rainforest. Dawn serenades you with the bird and howler monkey chorus, as you sip tea/coffee and swing in the porch hammock. An aerie retreat after a long hike on the easily accessible trails into Corcovado NP.
Zulay was amazingly generous and accommodating, cooking vegetarian meals for us, including a foot long sandwich for our to-go picnic lunch.
