The location is very convenient, outside of San Jose and with easy access to the Airport. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. An extra joy was to watch the fruit bats zooming around and eating fruit after nightfall.

The hostess was such a delight! A wonderfully sweet woman who is very helpful, despite our limited Spanish she was able to tell us about a nearby restaurant and market, if you don’t mind a short walk. The accommodations were superior! Very clean, very comfortable, very quiet. We had to leave at 4am for our flight, she was up with a breakfast and called the cab for us! I highly recommend the stay, even for just a night!

Laura is a wonderful host and I really felt like home at her house. She's always there, downstairs, if you need help with anything. It was very interesting to talk to her and learn about life in Costa Rica as these were my first nights after arriving. I was impressed with how well she decorated the house all with her own hands!
The breakfast was absolutely delicious and always very fresh - Laura makes that a priority, so you have to tell her when you'll want to have your breakfast and she'll prepare it at the right time just for you. I didn't have any specific plans for the day so she was flexible and agreed to cook it whenever I woke up, I just had to ask 20 minutes in advance. Instead of pre-cooking the breakfast she still made a point of always cooking fresh, which I think is great hospitality.
There's not too much to do in Alajuela, but I enjoyed just walking around, the people are very friendly and it's not touristy at all. I really liked the central park and the cathedral in front. There's a bus that goes to San Jose every 15 or 30 minutes (I don't remember, but Laura can always help you with that) where you can visit some nice museums, but I would never choose to stay in San Jose instead of Alajuela. San Jose is one big tourist trap, Alajuela is closer to the airport and a much more authentic place to stay.

This hotel is lovely. I think it’s the best for an airport stay. It is a true Bnb and they put so much care into every detail. Also, yes the walls are thin and you can hear an airplane every now and then but because it’s tucked away from the street, it’s much quieter than I expected and much quieter than other well-known airport hotels that are twice the price.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.

Close to the airport. 24/7 service so we appreciated being able to arrive at 1am from a late delayed flight. Had the private double bed room and it was very comfortable, great bed and sheets. Clean. We had the 2nd option breakfast and it was huge and very delicious! Despite being able to hear planes every now and then it didn’t bother us and it was very quiet in general. Sebastian (I think his name was) was so friendly and helpful. I did end up staying another night because I liked the beds, free water, good breakfast and facilities.
The apartment is spotlessly clean, quiet with a comfortable bed and a warm shower. Olga and Adrian are wonderful hosts, and the room was equipped with all conveniences like a TV, fans, fully stocked coffee and tea facilities, filter water and a fridge. They have gone above and beyond to make their guests stays comfortable with all sorts of extra details. Olga brought us an unexpected platter of fresh fruits in the morning which was greatly appreciated!
Nice little boutique hotel in a great location, close to the airport. We only spent one night there. Although many of the rooms are adjacent to the shared kitchen and dining area, the evening and night were very quiet.
The room was equipped with everything we needed. Thankfully, we received lots of helpful tips from Esteban. Great price-performance ratio!
Great location close to airport and is quieter than staying in San Jose. Very clean and lovely common sitting area and courtyard as well as kitchen with coffee and breakfast available all day. Easy and cheap to get bus into San Jose and they will arrange shuttle to airport etc. very helpful and quick to reply. Lots of good restaurants, ice cream parlours and bars close by.
Great location in a safe/quiet neighbourhood very close to the airport. We had a spare afternoon so walk into the Alajuela town centre which has a lot of history.
Breakfast was superb. Fresh fruit, eggs, toast and as much Costa Rican coffee as you like.
Rooms were a good size and shower was hot and had good power.
This was absolutely perfect. It’s very clean and charming, I felt safe and the staff were wonderful. breakfast is basic but I was happy with it. I don’t understand the negative reviews here… seems like people expect the Hilton… well, it’s not that. And if that’s what you want maybe don’t book a cheaper bed and breakfast? It was everything I needed for my shorty stay. Muchas gracias
This boutique hotel is a quiet charming Tico house. The best part is Esteban came to get us at the airport and dropped us the next morning, told us stories about Costa Rica and explaining everything. The room is small but comfortable. Hot shower and quiet!
Great location for airport travel with some great local restaurants close by.
Safe and quiet area.
Great hostel owner, Katty helps with everything including very fair taxi rides to the airport.
would highly recommend for anyone coming to or from San Jose airport for a night.
Just one more is make sure you have either dollars or cash but there is also an atm close by.
Great location in the city center but still with private parking (quite narrow but manageable), nice and helpful owner, was no problem to stay longer in the hotel as we had a late flight. We had a room with private terrace, bathroom and AC. Nice pool area. Really good price value.
Great location, close to the airport in San Jose.
Private parking.
Nice breakfast.
Spacious room, with comfy beds.
Quiet, and with a balcony.
Clean.
Nice outdoor patio and garden.
Very friendly staff.
