The owner was very nice and helpfull, we got a warm welcome. The location is beautiful and close to town, it's walkable (just a bit steep at the beginning). We had the room with private bathroom and it was perfect. The shower was hot and had good pressure, the room was clean and the common areas too. I recommend this place for sure!

The only issue we had was related to the noise of the other rooms. You can hear what the other guests are saying. But in general, it was a great service, good location, good parking, hot water and very comfortable beds

For us it was a wonderful evening and we really got in contact with colombian Locals. The appartment is nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. VERY good value for money. Nice clean quiet room. Huge secure parking. Others have made adverse comments about the locality. It is a stone's throw away from nicer streets and perfectly safe unless you are the village idiot. And they take credit cards, no extra charge.
Exceeded expectations by a country mile, considering the cost.
I had a wonderful stay at Casa Familiar, the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Every day Mrs Mercedes prepared a delicious Colombian breakfast. It really felt like home. Hot shower was definitely a plus! The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and there is a shopping centre within walking distance (a 5-minute walk). If I come again to Duitama, I will stay there again.
