Zhuoma Inn (卓玛客栈) or Tibet Guesthouse is a peaceful retreat located in the heart of Tiger Leaping Gorge, away from the hustle and bustle. It’s just a 15-minute walk from Tina’s Guesthouse (where the bus stop is), making it convenient yet tranquil. The guesthouse is run by the wonderful 小旅 (Xiao Li), who made our stay truly memorable. He not only managed the entire guesthouse but also picked us up from Tina’s, checked us in, handled the housekeeping, and even cooked for us yummy pancakes 🥞 ! He also kindly drove us to the trailhead for our hike down to the river the next day.
Our room, which was in the corner of the building, offered a stunning 90-degree view of the mountain across the street—breathtaking! The place was quiet, clean, and affordable, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing stay. We highly recommend Zhuoma Inn for anyone visiting Tiger Leaping Gorge.

The breakfast not much but good to fill up tummy with their yummy hot noodle soup bowl (mian xian). Staff is friendly and welcoming you with tea and fruits. They even have a evening campfire with singing along by the friendly boss.

The hotel was located on a nice street close to some restaurants and the city center. We also liked the interior design with a lot of pretty wood elements, traditional ornaments and carpets.

Within 10min of Walking, we could reach every angle of the ancient city. Furthermore, the room was spacious and comfortable with a charming wooden touch. But most of all, Gin and his staff made our stay memorable with their very helpful and generous manner.
Clean, comfortable and quiet room located in a very convenient part of the Shangri-La old town. The owner was exceptionally friendly and hospitable towards us throughout our stay, giving us tons of advice on what to do, where to eat etc. She even went as far as to help us call a backup Didi ride when we were rushing to the station to catch a train to Dali. Breakfast was quite tasty and had both Chinese and western options available. We had a great time staying here!
The rooms were great, we loved the little courtyard and the great coffee and beers. There was fresh fruit out every morning to help yourself to, our three year old twins loved it. The owners helped us with some great trip suggestions slightly off the beaten path
Rose the owner is amazing, warm, funny and caring. She speaks very good English and knows what to do and where to go. The place is charming and the location on the edge of the old town couldn’t be better. This is not for those looking for corporate luxury but an authentic experience with a perfect host.
I really like my room, I absolutely love this style of furnishing. I also really appreciated the electric blanket. In the reception area, one can sit comfortably and meet other travellers. The location is absolutely amazing, right in the old city center. I did all my sightseeing by walking from the hostel.
