We stayed here for a night as a stopover. Place was spotless clean which is one of the things we most care about. Despite the shared bathroom everything was really nice, clean and organised. Stefania is a great host! She made us feel very welcome, offered free water, tee, coffee, as well as some pastry for breakfast. She also allowed us to park beyond check-out time, as we wanted to roam around Lugano with our bikes a bit longer. Thanks a lot for that!

Everything was excellent. The room was very comfortable. The hotel staff was fantastic—relaxed, kind, and always helpful. They found me an adapter for electricity I didn't have, gave me the key to the beach even though it was not swimming season (in case I still wanted to go there), a waiter in the restaurant was full of positive energy, and I enjoyed listening to his Italian. The pizza in the restaurant was extraordinarily good and it was so nice to eat it on the hotel terrace (with the view of the lake). The hotel's location was perfect, it is in the very center of Morcote, stairs for climbing to the church and views of Morcote were very near, bus station is immediately in front of the hotel, and the main pier for boats is also there. If you are coming from Lugano and Melide (probably), I recommend to choose boat for a part of the travel- it is great to be on Lugano Lake.
In Morcote, don't miss Parco Scherrer- it is not too big, but it is more museum than the park, and peace and beauty there were one of the top moments of my whole Switzerland travel.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
This is the second time that I have stayed in this apartment. It is beautifully furnished, big, clean and has a great south facing terrace. This is a gem, a beauty and a warm place to stay. I also appreciated the proximity to the food store next door. Despite its location next to the main road the apartment is very quiet as it faces away from the street. Check-in and check-out are both super simple.
Again: I will definitely be back, thank you very much.
Very friendly and helpful host. Il Vigneto is in a quiet and tranquil location with a very pretty outlook. The house was spotless and the breakfast and overall service were excellent. I would definitely stay there again.
