Auberge Baker, hotel in Chateau Richer

Located in Chateau Richer and with Sainte Anne de Beaupre Basilica reachable within 5.1 km, Auberge Baker provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a terrace, free WiFi throughout the property...

Historic building was very interesting. The upstairs bedroom had giant beams and little dormer windows - so much character. There was a common kitchen and common balcony/deck that we could use, although we didn't - we had a complimentary breakfast (which was great) and we made a dinner reservation there. Dinner was also great - definitely recommend the Charlevoix cheese wrapped in phyllo pastry as an appetizer! Everyone spoke English for us. Lots of parking. The auberge (inn) is a little ways out in the country, so beautiful surroundings, but you need a car (or taxi?) to get there. There is no elevator, so you must be able to climb stairs - but this is okay because an elevator would ruin the character of the property.

Le Vieux Presbytère, hotel in Chateau Richer

Featuring a garden, shared lounge and views of river, Le Vieux Presbytère is set in Saint-Vallier, 49 km from Parc Aquarium du Quebec.

The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As well as our comfortable room, we had use of a sitting room and office space, as well as the beautiful balconies where we were treated to a welcome drink. The breakfast was substantial and delicious - in fact one of the best we’ve ever had! The house is a short walk from the river, with a beach where you can watch the sunset. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay a day or two longer!

Absolutely adorable building. Very rustic, and not the kind of place we would typically stay. Charming stone walls and wooden beams throughout.

The breakfast was good. Rooms were very clean and quaint. Some newer inns and hotels are not as clean as this place was. Very impressive! Beautiful surroundings. Since it’s an old place, rooms are not soundproof. So bring some earplugs if you stay here. Besides that, the rooms are very nice and charming.
