Everything! A wonderful B&B in the centre of Turnhout. Warmly welcomed by the host (who owns a very cool gallery downstairs!). The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, with a lovely bathroom. We had a great time and only wish we could've stayed longer.

Chose Turnhout almost at random, just as an overnight stop-off en route from Rotterdam to Spa Francorchamps, and B&B De Hessie sounded good. So happy I made that choice.
Katleen is great, really friendly. The apartment is self-contained, spacious and comfortable, open plan with kitchen/dining and lounge areas, and with a double bed on a kind of mezzanine. Having a separate room containing bunk beds it would be great for a family of four. Looks out through sliding glass doors over the donkey paddock and fields, quiet and peaceful. Donkeys!! Always a bonus! And breakfast was delicious.
Off road parking, and around a 30 minute walk into town, probably a 5 minute drive. I was sorry to leave, and if I hadn't had somewhere already booked at my destination I think I would have stayed another couple of days to explore Turnhout. Hopefully I'll be back some day.
