Barossa House is not nearly as elegant as the photos suggest. It is a grand house but is located well out of town with no attractions, not even a park, within walking distance.
Our room was well appointed but so small as to be impracticable: the bathroom was so tiny that the basin had to be located in the main room.
There was nowhere to put toiletries, and no real hanging space for clothes.
Apart from a cooked frittata, the breakfast was miserable: there was no real choice of breads, juices, cereals or milks, and we had to ask for extra butter and jam. It was as though the staff were measuring out everything.

A lovely little studio with an outdoor courtyard to enjoy on sunny days. Close enough to the center of Tanunda to walk to cellar doors and restaurants. Bed was comfortable and the space was bright and clean. Lots of delicious goodies and a bottle of wine provided by the hosts.

Loved our stay here. Picturesque farm stay with an opportunity to get close to nature. The studio was neat and comfortable. The hostess was very warm and friendly, supplying a freshly baked loaf of bread and home made jam. Very glad we stayed here.

The location was very good, short walk to all shops. We were greeted with Sparkling wine, a great platter of local produce and all the food and drinks for Breakfast we could hope for. Super elegant and very comfortable property.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
This is an older property with a bit of charm. Excellent, quiet location - very close to township. Nice private garden area - great for a breakfast etc.
Great breakfast provisions supplied.
Some landscaping has nearly been clompleted and once garden establishes itself this are will be even better.
we ate out each day - quaint cottage that was very homely and suited our needs for a Barossa trip. Enjoyed being away from the main street of Tanunda as it was quiet, but we would probably choose to stay closer next time for a different experience. Lots of good information provided on local activities which we found helpful. We loved the historic link to the vineyard next door.
The rooms were quite nice, with everything we would need for the stay already in the room (toiletries, bedding, crockery etc). The location is right in the middle of all the wineries without being too close to the city centre. It was really quiet. The pool was incredibly refreshing given we visited during a weekend of 40°+ weather.
Modern, clean rooms in a great location in the middle of Tanunda. It was incredibly quiet at night which given its above a pub was pleasantly surprising! Highly recommend!
