Loved our stay here. Picturesque farm stay with an opportunity to get close to nature. The studio was neat and comfortable. The hostess was very warm and friendly, supplying a freshly baked loaf of bread and home made jam. Very glad we stayed here.

Barossa House, hotel in Springton

Featuring a shared guest lounge, free cooked or continental breakfast and rooms with lovely garden views, Barossa House is just 5 minutes’ drive from a number of Barossa Valley wineries.

Barossa House is not nearly as elegant as the photos suggest. It is a grand house but is located well out of town with no attractions, not even a park, within walking distance. Our room was well appointed but so small as to be impracticable: the bathroom was so tiny that the basin had to be located in the main room. There was nowhere to put toiletries, and no real hanging space for clothes. Apart from a cooked frittata, the breakfast was miserable: there was no real choice of breads, juices, cereals or milks, and we had to ask for extra butter and jam. It was as though the staff were measuring out everything.

There was bacon & eggs in the fridge for our breakfast which we really appreciated. We also enjoyed some pizzas and wine in their restaurant just a few meters away from our accommodation. They were some of the best pizzas we have ever had! Peter was a great host and made time to come to our table and chat. Very warm hospitality from all of the staff at Grand Cru Estate.

The Barossa Cottages are in a great location not too far from a number of Barossa Valley towns. The Stables provided 2 large queen bedrooms, a large bathroom (with an excellent shower) & kitchen/lounge/dining area. We didn't get to use the wood fire but it would be lovely & cosy in Winter. The outside area was lovely too. A nice spot to sit outside & enjoy the sun & some Barossa Valley wine!

Peter and the golden retrievers were great hosts. We spent the evening chatting over his exceptional pizza and wine. The homestead is very clean, quiet and has all the amenities. The fridge was stocked with bacon, eggs, bread and all the extras needed for breakfast. It's a great location to base a weekend in the Adelaide Hills or Barossa Valley for an adventure. You will not be disappointed!

It was central. Allowed visits to Adelaide Hills and the Barossa. A quaint, private setting. The accom was very clean and the bedrooms were large. Thoughtfully provided throw rugs mirrors etc which was greatly appreciated. Comprehensive instructions on how to use the facilities was great. Beds were warm, welcoming and comfortable and the linen, towels, pillows etc etc were all good quality. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend the accommodation with advice about the limitations I have noted below.

Lovely, helpful hosts but also felt very private and quiet. Beautiful location and decor was perfect for area. Close enough to wineries but would recommend a hire car to get around as it is a bit out of the towns
