Barossa House is not nearly as elegant as the photos suggest. It is a grand house but is located well out of town with no attractions, not even a park, within walking distance.
Our room was well appointed but so small as to be impracticable: the bathroom was so tiny that the basin had to be located in the main room.
There was nowhere to put toiletries, and no real hanging space for clothes.
Apart from a cooked frittata, the breakfast was miserable: there was no real choice of breads, juices, cereals or milks, and we had to ask for extra butter and jam. It was as though the staff were measuring out everything.

A lovely little studio with an outdoor courtyard to enjoy on sunny days. Close enough to the center of Tanunda to walk to cellar doors and restaurants. Bed was comfortable and the space was bright and clean. Lots of delicious goodies and a bottle of wine provided by the hosts.

Loved our stay here. Picturesque farm stay with an opportunity to get close to nature. The studio was neat and comfortable. The hostess was very warm and friendly, supplying a freshly baked loaf of bread and home made jam. Very glad we stayed here.

Perfect place to stay in the Barossa region. Lucy’s cottage is one of those places you want to make home. Steve the host and wine maker is exceptional. Great breakfast set up and we were really comfortable. Very hot weather and thanks for the ironing board and iron as ironing linen clothing definitely needed. We loved the garden setting and easy walk to restaurants.
