Craignair Cottage, hotel in Mount Macedon

Boasting garden views, Craignair Cottage features accommodation with a garden, around 35 km from Calder Park Raceway.

The location was great, it's located on a larger property with picnic tables you're able to access. Be aware it is immediately adjacent to another house and overlooks a play area and pool. Not a issue but worth being aware of.

Hanging Rock Views, hotel in Woodend

Boasting mountain views, Hanging Rock Views features accommodation with patio, around 14 km from Macedon Train Station.

We had a perfect stay! The pre-stay communication and check-in instructions were very clear. There was everything we could need in the room for a comfortable stay, including toiletries, a hairdryer, lots of linen pillows and blankets, and more kitchen items than I have at home! The furnishings were luxurious, including a large comfortable bed, and the whole place was spotless. There were even fresh flowers on the table. The breakfast package was delicious (all fresh and presumably local produce- eggs, bacon, milk and butter, tomatoes and avocado, and a fresh crusty loaf). An added extra was the separate bath in an additional room across the hall. There are even bath salts, candles etc that you can use too. The scenery at the location is stunning; views sweeping down to the valley and Hanging Rock, kangaroos and Rosellas all around, and walks on the property. The first night, I was not sure if there was anyone else staying, as it was very peaceful. The second night, it seemed like all rooms were occupied, but we still could barely hear anyone else, or noises from other rooms.

Breakfast and some additional pantry items were supplied, which we weren't expecting. Very private, location overlooking the vines. Located right next door to the winery, which we had an awesome lunch at.

The room was so dark and quiet we slept in past our alarms, however, you had the option for sheer curtains if you would like some light in the room. Peaceful space, car park provided, lots of information for local restaurants and attractions. The hosts went above and beyond with breakfast, we had delicious farmers milk, fresh juice, fresh fruit and vegegies and toast. It was more than we expected for breakfast.

The accomodation was lovely even better than the pics, the high roof and style made it so cosy, and made very private by being set back into the garden and set back from the quiet street. It so so clean and comfortable. Great ammenities, easy to use coffe machine. The town itself was lovely even only being a short distance from Melbourne it still felt like a good gettaway in nature. Great food options close by too.

Loved the quiet location. The cottage was very comfortable, neat and tidy and private. We appreciated the basic provisions for cooking and the breakfast supplies and access to the herbs in the vegetable garden.
