There was nothing we liked. We felt lied to and ripped off. This accommodation has no staff. You let yourself in with a code. In order to access the code, you have to provide a photograph of your driver's licence and a selfie! I didn't want to do this because of identity theft, but they had already taken my money and would not let us in without my ID! Can that be legal? The place is cold and soulless, empty. It smells of cold, old food. The facilities it mentions are communal. In the communal kitchen, the fridge stinks of old fish and meat like some dirty old camp kitchen.

Ideal stop over after enjoying an afternoon of live music from resident artist Tom. Evening meal ar Mr Grubb was good too. We were in the Marilyn room which is designed in neo-romantic style. Not particularly our vibe, so will try and book the more rustic Water room next time.
Also an ideal spot to visit all the attractions on the coastal road between Curlewis and Ocean Grove. Recommend you stay in the area for 2-3 days.

I really enjoyed my stay at Anchor. The room was clean and comfortable. All of the facilities were in working order (TV, dishwasher, microwave). I found that it was pretty quiet and in a great location near the Geelong city centre, so I had no issues travelling to the beach or to the shops. I didn't have any troubles during my stay and found the room to be the perfect size for me! I would stay here again 100%.

I stayed here when they first opened, and was not disappointed second time around. A bit of luxury bliss. Good blackouts to make a dark room.
