The hotel rooms having been recently refurbished. We were very impressed with the modernity and style of the bathrooms and the bed was extremely comfortable. Being an older hotel, the style of decor has been kept but maintained with a private lounge area for guests. It is in a great location for accessing Lamington NP, the wineries and Canungra has a lovely village feel.
Beautyful location with deadly quiet nights and charming evenings including all the visiting wildlife. The morning view from the bed is just awesome. We loved the facilities such as the games/BBQ/firepit area and of course the spa and the whole deck. They really thought of everything.
Beautiful place. Very quiet and private. We enjoyed having the animals come to the property. It's comfortable, clean, and has great views. We enjoyed the fireplace and fire pit outside. Great bbq and outdoor setting. The bath is fabulous. Excellent communication from the host. Easy access.
Great location, very quiet and an easy walk to Canungra (assuming you are happy to go up and down a few little hills). Suzanna, the host, is delightful and very welcoming including a courtesy call the day prior to touchbase and advise we could check in early if required - which was very welcome due to having an afternoon wedding nearby. The room and bathroom are great sizes and the bed is very comfortable.
Tony and Kelly are amazing hosts, they made sure that nothing was left to chance.
The property is beautiful with leafy private gardens that make for a peaceful and private stay.
The continental breakfast included was ample, however a cooked breakfast was also available at just $10 extra and Tony went above and beyond to make us barista style coffees each morning.
We would highly recommend "The Odd Gecko" to anyone looking for a quiet, convenient location close to the quaint village of Canungra.
The property was beautiful and centrally located yet still in a beautiful private setting surrounded by trees and birds. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and we appreciated having our own entrance. Tony and Kelly were great hosts. Throughly recommend.
