Sanahin Haye B&B has a large, beautiful garden where you can find rabbits, pigeons, a puppy, cats, beehives, and apricot trees—animal lovers will feel right at home here.
There are two separate buildings: the friendly host and her family live in the main house, while guests stay in the other building, which has four bedrooms, one shared bathroom, and a kitchen. The rooms include two twin-bedded rooms, one king-bedded room, and one family room. The B&B has washing machine and fridge, just a five-minute walk from the monastery. (There's a woodcraft shop at the monastery gates—the second shop from the top as you walk down the stairs. The owner, Artak, is a middle-aged man who offers fair prices and will inscribe your wooden souvenirs for free. I found this quite unique, hence the recommendation.)

We were really impressed with this accommodation, it was our best in 2 weeks in Armenia. Cleanliness and equipment were really at the "European level" and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We have absolutely nothing to complain about.

Ever wonder what it would be like to stay with family in Armenia? I mean the ones you really like, not your family at Thanksgiving. Then stay here!
Amalia was the consumate delightful, very friendly hostess, her husband a hard-working, lovely man, and her sister Melania and husband Nicol(sp), who were visiting from Yerevan were also great. All immediately accepted me into their lovely family and home. Despite the language barrier, we used Google Translate and had no problems, lots of laughs and honestly I felt a real connection to such delightful people.
Food was delicious, varied and healthy coming mostly from Amalia' extensive garden of which she is justly proud and gave me the tour. There are also lots of flowers, making it a really cheerful and peaceful spot, literally just a couple of minutes from the church and a little market.
The room was very comfortable, quiet and had everything I needed and the bed was great.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Came for one night and stayed two, mainly due to the overwhelming hospitality of the owners and the great breakfast from home made produce they dished up. We bought some delicious cheese for the trip from them as well.
The tent itself is basically a small self contained cabin. There's also a kitchen aside the house and a grill.
Location is a bit away from everything which I'd nice when you just want to have a quiet rest. Nonetheless there are things around to see within a short hike.
Alaverdi is a must visit when you are in Armenia and we were lucky to stay in a lovely apartment in the higher part of the city. The host was super nice, very helpful, picked us up on our way from bus and managed to get us a taxi to Akhtala. The apartment was very spacious, clean, we had everything we need there and it was also very quiet location.
For me itwas a great experience. Superfriendly hosts, Nune and her Mother take car of you.
The arrange Wifi, bring heater if Cold, make cheap and good dinner and a fabulous Breakfast.
3 Roms in a wild Garden, fast, a babydog and Pigeons are lovely if you like Animals.
Dont expect 4- Star Komfort, but in summary it is a perfekt Placebo to stay.
Highly recommend. Great host offers family style breakfast lunch and dinner. Rooms are clean and lovely to speak with and learn about the local area. She has multiple awards in the dining room about the guesthouse and her hosting.
Quiet and comfortable stay. Narene and Edmon are excellent hosts who went extra mile to help us with our tour and transfer arrangements. Alaverdi was the first place we visited in Armenia from Georgia. We liked its attractions, and the wine ( inexpensive from the supermarket) and roasted whole chicken we bought in the small town there.
