It was a bit far from big shops, but lovely outdoor area, very tropical, close to black sand beach. Very private even though there was two other units, great parking. The highlight was seeing the Kalapana Lava Fields. They were so close, free, and much better than the Volcano National Park. You don't really need to drive all day as there's heaps to see close by, and not many tourists.

This location is heaven on earth. If you fancy 4-star hotels, this is not the right place for you but for all others, it's just great. The amazing oceanfront! The waves you hear crashing when you are in your room! The sounds at night! The geckos for breakfast! The incredible hospitality of Raven and Mark! We actually got married at this amazing, magic oceanfront and Raven was so helpful in all aspects. She took incredible care of us and our plans even before we arrived. We will never forget that - thank you so much, Raven!! She is just born to make her guests happy. So if you plan an elopement on Big Island - go for it and to Raven's place!

A beautiful location just a few dozen meters from the ocean. The sound of the waves was like "beautiful music" to us. Dogs roaming freely in the garden might be challenging for some guests. However, we love dogs, and the ones in the garden are VERY FRIENDLY.
