The whole experience was amazing. It was truly a getaway from normal tourist locations. I liked the host's message to me that the location is adapted to the reality of life on the island. The place was very clean and had amenities to make the stay nice.
The host communication was great. Very responsive and checked in to ensure our stay was going well.
The ferry was very easy to take. Literally got off the train, walked about 5-10 minutes from the olhāo station, passed a grocery store (if you want to bring supplies although there are two small markets in Culatra) and to the dock. We got our tickets and got on just as the ferry was about to take off. It was easy and cheap. About 4.50 € for two passengers one way (ida).
Going back was just as easy. The schedules are posted and sent by the hosts. They also offered to organize a water taxi (quicker) and a driver to the airport. We just took the ferry and did an Uber from Olhão to Faro airport. The property is literally within a long rocks throw from the dock.
Restaurants are amazing. Some are cash only. The walk to the beach was absolutely gorgeous at night you can catch the sunset on the way back. Unbelievable.
