Fab stay! The Hotel was lovely. Amazing location, right on the sea front, and just minutes walk into town or a very, very short drive. We didn't go for a sea view room this time, as we were planning to be out a fair amount - but I imagine the view in those rooms is beautiful. Not sure why people complain about not getting the view when it clearly states what you are paying for!?
The Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly (Shout out to Jenna and Toby for their hospitality) and all other staff greet you with a smile too, sorry, we didn't get any other names. Jenna was super helpful as we'd never been to Whitby and recommended places to visit and eat (and gave us a map too), and helped me with the parking scratch card (for on-street parking) which costs a few pound.
The room was lovely. Nice and warm, really comfy bed and the shower was powerful and spacious. Slept like a log each night - and above all, spotlessly clean! Tea/Coffee, hairdryer, TV etc.
Breakfast was delicious, the sausages were as described in many reviews...amazing!! With a nice selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts etc. The only, and I mean only thing I would say, and this is a completely personal preference, I love a hash brown with a cooked breakfast and there wasn't any. But, again, totally personal preference.
Really liked the option to sit in the lounge area, super comfy reclining sofas, board games and TV (didn't use it though) - peaceful and relaxing - with a drinks and snacks area (you pay when you leave).
Overall, a lovely stay in Whitby and at the Wheeldale, thanks guys, we will definitely be back!
